Earth Day is April 22nd and we wanted to share another way to make your party a little more environmentally friendly.
This Earth Day Tip deals with an issue that we see at every party we ever attend; and that’s the number of cups and half empty pop cans scattered about at the end of the party. It’s not that hard to believe when you think about it though. It’s a party and people put a cup down and then forget about it.
How do you fix this problem and limit the number of plastic cups used during a party? This depends partly on the size of your party. If you’re having a smaller party, consider buying glass glasses and decorating them with the guest’s name (keeping with the theme of course) and they can double as party favors when guests leave.
Of course, if you’re having a great number of people coming over this might not be as plausible. I really like the Red Etch-it® Cups and Clear Etch-it® Cups. This allows your guests to be creative all while saving their glass. Another fun idea is to use the "Hello My Name Is" Stickers. (I always get a kick out of the fun creative names people give themselves.)
This is a simple tip that can help you have less to clean up at the end of your party while also giving your guests a memorable party favor. Remember, if you plan on serving beverages in a mix of bottles and cans remember to recycle.
