The early bird gets the worm, have you heard that line before? Of course you have. It is however very appropriate for graduation – on a variety of levels.
First off, I hope you’re getting your resumes out and/or looking for a summer job. The early bird will definitely get the worm in this scenario since so many people, graduates and non-grads are looking for jobs as well. It’s my hope that any “early bird” reading this will try to be creative in this endeavor since the creative “early bird” gets a bigger worm…or at least I believe so.
Secondly and possibly more importantly, early is definitely the time to plan your graduation party, soiree, fete, ball or little shindig to celebrate. The earlier you start planning, the better off you’ll be. You’ll be organized and organized means you can be more original, more creative (and dare I say it?) more budget-conscious.
Just one more thing that I would like to add for your graduation party. This year you may want to include several other “graduates” in your celebration and split the bill and multiply the fun. And if you get started now (again with the early bird), it will get you a lot more takers. More hosts, more creativity, more money equals one incredibly awesome graduation party with memories for all (that’s the “get the worm” part!).
