Are you at your wit’s end trying to plan a corporate theme party that will make everyone go WOW? One of our favorite themes for corporate parties is Mardi Gras. It’s an easy theme perfect for big event (they don’t call New Orleans the Big Easy for nothing, do they?)!
Imagine if you will, your guests celebrating in the streets of the French Quarter or Bourbon Street, with colorful masks and elegant costumes, with spicy Cajun cuisine wafting through the air with the beat of New Orleans jazz and of course sparkling beaded necklaces and coins everywhere.
Be sure to let your guests know to come dressed in their most elegant costumes and get-ups – with masks. If you plan on having a costume parade with prizes make sure to include it on the invitation. (This always brings out the creativity and competitive nature in all of us.) This is also a great fun way to allow everyone to show off their creative talents.
Because purple, green and gold are the traditional colors of Mardi Gras, make sure to display them throughout the party room(s). Be sure to have plenty of beads, hats and masks for your guests to wear and trade.
Have some fun when arranging the party activities. “Make” the French Quarter the French Quarter with a Tattoo Parlor. There are companies that provide Henna and Airbrush tattoos, and will make a great addition to your party.
Consider setting up a photo-op area titled “The Big Cheezy” with lots of masks and balloons and of course everyone in their best Mardi Gras garb. Sure to be a hit.
If you have valet parking for your event, work with the valets to place a silver mask keychain on your guests’ keys. It will be a fun surprise for your guests that reminds them of the wonderful time they had at your event!
I'd love to be in that sort of corporate Christmas party. Thanks for providing those links too.

Thank you for sharing this post. That is a very clever idea for a corporate event. It would certainly let the guests let loose and enjoy themselves in a non traditional way. Great idea!
