What do you call cheese that isn’t yours? Nacho cheese!
That is one of the best jokes ever. You know what else is the best ever? The Super Bowl. More specifically, all of the food at the Super Bowl party! Which is fortunately where that cheese comes in (the cheese that isn't yours!)
Loaded Chili Nachos are a perfect Super Bowl party recipe; messy, loaded with caloires, sooo good!
Ingredients:
- Chili
- Shredded Cheese
- Nacho Cheese
- Salsa Chips
- Cookie Sheet
- Optional - Sliced Jalapenos or olives
Directions:
- Warm up chili. I use leftover chili and have to take the chill off.
- On a cookie sheet lay a nice even level of chips.
- Spread the warmed up chili over the chips, again nice and even.
- I like to coat the chili and nacho combo in an unhealthy amount of cheese. Put nacho cheese first, the shredded on top. Top with jalapenos if you like it hot, or olives if not :)
- Once you’ve loaded the chips and chili with cheese put the tray in the oven at 250 for ten minutes. I feel this gets the chili properly warmed and the cheese properly melted.
- When serving make sure you have a spatula because it is a mess, but it is delicious.
Use the leftover chips to help eat the loaded chili nachos. Also eating with a fork might be necessary. Do you have a favorite recipe you have planned for your 2011 Super Bowl party? Feel free to share in the comments section.
