The kids were ready to try another Halloween treat, after our Healthy Halloween Treats, so we went with crescent roll dog bones. Seemed simple enough. Well, like most of my "I'll just copy this great and simple idea" from a magazine projects, they didn't quite work.
We started by rolling the crescent rolls out on a cookie sheet. We then cut a slit in the ends and rolled them to look like bones. They looked pretty good at this point. Then we baked them. We clearly didn't roll the bones thin enough and also didn't cut enough at the end.
As with most of my projects, they vaguely resembled the desired skeleton bones. Oh well. At least they tasted good and I'd definitely try them again.

Baking with your kids is a fun activity. Aside from dog bones, you can also shape smileys.
