Last year for our Halloween party we set up a black light room with a glowing bar. We served up cocktails which glow in the dark under a black light!
The secret to the glowing drinks is tonic water (diet tonic water works too). It contains quinine, and quinine is photochemical reactive. That means it glows blueish white when exposed to a blacklight.
Gin and Tonics were a staple for our bar, but they are bitter. Other great options are Blue Curacao and tonic, vodka and tonic and the Mind Eraser with tonic instead of soda (Vodka, Kahlua and tonic).
To decorate I covered the wall behind the bar with a Halloween scene setter and those inexpensive streachy spiderwebs.
I picked up decanters and clear glass pitchers from the local thrift store, and made sticky labels for the containers. (a la Martha Stewart - Cyanide Soda Label, Elixir of Doom Gin Label, Toxic Tonic Label, Black Death Vodka Label).
The table I covered in white flat beadsheets. At the back of the bar I set a large blacklight. Then I set out glasses, fun Halloween drink napkins, and the mixers. Everyone loved it!

Glad you liked it Harper! I love doing scavenger hunts in the dark... just give everyone a small flashlight! It's a great Halloween party activity. You could also do flashlight tag.

Ohh, that's very creative! Making the room dark and using black light is really cool. You can even play some games like treasure hunting and it will be more challenging because of the darkness. That would be so much fun.
