My son was born on St. Patrick’s Day, so of course I planned a St. Patrick’s Day theme birthday party! We invited everyone to dress “St. Patrick’s Day chic” and wear green. Here are a few highlights:
We welcomed everyone with a tabletop size cutout of my son dresses as a leprechaun saying, “Kiss me, it’s my birthday!”
We kept the decorations simple. Green tablecloths, gold silverware and fun shamrock paper goods. I scattered glitter shamrock cutouts and a handful of gold chocolate coins on the tables and we were all set.
I had a great time making favors! Each kid got a personalized goodie bag filled with St. Patrick’s Day theme goodies. The “big” kids (over 2) got individual boxes of Lucky Charms, little cauldrons filled with chocolate coins, rainbow lollipops, rainbow crayons and shamrock shape draw-your-own puzzles.
The “little kids” (under 2) got green and white bears, inflatable green beach balls and little green rubber ducks. Here’s a picture of the goodie bags with a few of the gifts:
The cake was great! My Mom made a fabulous St. Patrick’s Day theme cake complete with a giant shamrock made from heart cupcakes. Needless to say, the cake and the entire party was a hit!
The cutouts were done by Party411.com. If you are interested in all of the cutouts that are offered, go to this link http://www.party411.com/custom-cutouts.html . If you have any special instructions with the cutout put them in the special instructions part of the order.
