So your Election Night party is coming up quick, and you need some ideas for what to serve everyone. No problem! Here are a few fun and easy ways to make the menu at your election theme party spectacular!
Go with an all American dinner menu; hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, coleslaw, and lots of beer. Summer food is always fun when it is chilly out!
You can use recipes that are popular from the candidate's home states:
Barack Obama - Illinois
John McCain - Arizona
Just for fun, I would create a Democrat and Republican desserts and see which "party" gets devoured first!
- Candied apples vs caramel apples with blue sprinkles
- Cherry pie and blueberry cobbler
- Cupcakes that have red or blue icing
- And donkey and elephant cookie cutters are available at Fantes.com
- Serve an American Flag cake to represent party unity!
Done correctly, dessert could represent a real debate!
Have a great time at your Election Party!
