Want a no-muss, no-fuss, low-budget yet unique holiday party?? Try this!
This year, instead of inviting everyone over to use the mistletoe in a wayward fashion, feed their faces and drink eggnog (spiked and un-), I’m having an “offsite” holiday party. I noticed that there are a huge amount of holiday festivals going on—many of them free. I studied them all, chose one (that happens to be FREE, not necessary but a great benefit, no?) and—TA DAH…I’m having a party to remember -- never running a vacuum, washing a dish or calling for an additional trash pickup like in years past. Thank the Lord. And he’s what Christmas is all about!
So, I’m making goodie bags filled with holiday cookies, personalized water bottles, some “reindeer antlers” (so I can find everyone from a distance) and, last but not least, a custom laminated PARTY GIRL HOLIDAY TOUR PASS on a lanyard! I’m also inserting a schedule for the day including each of the 10 stops, how much time they have and a list of highlights.
Everyone is invited to meet in a central location as close to the festival as possible, and we will parade through the streets, antlers and all, to our first stop at the HOLIDAY CIRCLE FEST, a festival in town where there are 10 different stops at different museums/organizations each with fun entertainment, crafts and complimentary refreshments.
My last stop will be at a near-by Panera Bread Bakery Café where we’ll all schmooze while I treat everyone to hot chocolate or flavored coffees and the pastry of their choice!
What do you think? Different, easy and loads of fun, right? Hope so…or I’m in big trouble, being the Party Girl and all… Have fun whatever you do!
