Your Questions Answered! Ice Cream Theme Party

 

We featured this Ice Cream Theme Party earlier in the year, and boy has it received a lot of attention! We get many emails with one of two questions about this party, so we thought we could answer them here. Here is the original post -

"We were so excited to have an ice cream theme to work with.  We have never done that one before!  We made “cones” out of a waffle paper and topped them with “ice cream” balloons and a cherry on top.  Each place had a waffle cone filled with nuts made to look like a sundae.

We modified ice cream containers and made them into table names and numbers. Each guest was sitting at the Bat Mitzvah girls favorite flavors.  The seating cards had a personalized ice cream scooper for everyone to take home. Can you guess what they served for dessert?"

The two questions we are asked quite often about this party are

How were the ice cream centerpieces made?

The centerpieces were tall skinny vases surrounded by brown paper. You can weight the vases with sand for extra stability. The balloons are just taped together and the "sprinkles" are tiny balloons taped in between the stacked balloons.

It is a simple design but takes time to execute. We recommend doing a mock up to see how long it will take you to build each one. We have a local professional balloon company that does the balloons for our events, so if you have the budget for it, you can always have them made for you.

Where did you order the ice cream scoops?

Since we plan a lot of events, we have a buyer in the office who orders imprinted items for our clients and customers.
