Halloween parties are a blast, and if you are hosting one this year, it is time to start thinking about the invitation! If you are making your own invitation or buying one (we think our Halloween invitations are pretty terrific, but we're biased) you can make it really fun with the right wording. Here's how -
1) Start with a great intro. It can be a play on words or something that describes your event. For example -
- No Tricks, Just Treats. Come over and get something good to eat!
- You're invited to a Monster Mash (it'll be a graveyard smash!)
- Calling all witches, goblins and ghouls... will your costume be the one that rules?
- Join us for a night to eat, drink, and be scary!
- Dare to join us for an evening of fright? Be our guest on Halloween night!
2) Tweak your names/address. For instance -
Mike and Jackie Forehn"stein"
106 Wellington Lane Spooky City, IL
We just had a customer who used the above wording on our "Add a Face" Halloween Invitation, where the couple added their pictures to Mr and Mrs Frankenstein. They even had a little fun with their city!
3) Don't just ask for an RSVP. Make your guests fear for their lives if they fail to respond. Halloween is the only time you can do this (though wouldn't it be great if we could use the same tactic for weddings?)
- R.I.P. (instead of R.S.V.P)
- Were dying to hear from you
- Too scared to come? Regrets only.
