While I don't always celebrate Valentine's Day with a party, I do like like to mark the holiday. I usually put up some simple red and white decorations and bake some type of goodie (this year it is red velvet whoopie pies!)

I used white embroidery thread and red and white puff balls make a fun garland. I just threaded a needle and then skewered the little suckers until I had a long enough piece to decorate my mantle. This decoration cost me less then $2!

I always set out my motley collection of red pots and plates. I also use sticky tack to place little button hearts on my picture frames!
